Client Brief
Provide Detailed Design, Project Management and Planning Supervisor for the renovation and conversion of an existing agricultural building into a four-bedroom house.

The project had lots of unknowns and the risks needed careful management and control. Woodley Lucas were able to demonstrate to the Client the necessary skills and management systems to manage and co-ordinate this unusual project cost effectively and on time.

Project Summary:
The property is an agricultural building that had been part of the Estate for a number of years. A reduction in the livestock on the estate concurrent with a move to more arable farming provided the Estate with the opportunity to convert the building into rented accommodation. The building required great care to be taken at all stages; the stone envelope was unstable and required extensive underpinning with careful reconstruction to some areas.

Woodley Lucas took the Client's outline planning designs and provided the detailed design and working drawings. Working closely with the Client we procured contractors to carry out the works in line with the agreed Cost Plan.

Woodley Lucas provided Project Management throughout the construction period; monitoring progress, supervising the works and managing the tight budget.
