How Construction Management Works

The Construction Management company is appointed by the Client for a fixed fee to coordinate the works as agreed.

The Construction Management company will tender works packages and recommend trade contractors for appointment directly by the Client.

When applications for payment are made the Construction Manager will review them with the Architect and make recommendations for the Client.

The Client will pay the trade contractors directly.

The Benefits of Construction Management

The Client has the knowledge that he has bought the best price for the works because the contract works are tendered to individual sub contractors and the Client pays the sum of their costs.

The Construction Management team at Woodley Lucas were are initially trained on construction sites and therefore the experience is both relevant and appropriate.

The Client knows he will get the quality he has paid for because subcontractors are specialist in their field and not 'jack of all trades'.

The Client is in better control of the Contract because he has a direct contractural relationship with all members of the design and contruction team.

The Client knows he will get the benefits from any savings achieved, including from suppliers.
